Prairie Charms Blogger Box

Prairie Charms approached me a while ago to collaborate with them on their new themed box. I’ll be honest, it didn’t take much convincing for me to say a quick yes and start the process so I could receive a customised box full of goodies. Let me start by telling you a bit about this fabulous brand. Prairie Charms describe themselves as a quirky, whimsical, handmade accessories boutique and I cannot agree with them more. Not only do they sell incredible unique products but 10% of all profits are then donated to the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity and the ‘Kiss it Better Campaign,’ which provides funding to pioneering, world-class treatment for complex medical conditions.

‘Prairie Pizzazz’ are the subscription themed boxes that are full of customised gifts. I was lucky enough to receive the Luau Party box especially for bloggers and couldn’t wait to open it.

You can really tell that Prairie Charms focus on every little detail. Most monthly subscription boxes are very generic but you can tell just from the packaging that they really want you to enjoy the experience and make a good attempt of building up the suspense. Well it worked for me – my inner detail freak screamed with joy at the floral branding and the cutesy ribbon.

Now you can see that I wasn’t exaggerating about it being full to the brim with goodies. Extremely inviting, ridiculously colourful … what to look at first?!

I will start with my absolute FAVOURITE thing in the whole box. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I adore Liberty London – the brand, its values, the actual department store itself or even their own Liberty print/fabrics. Well I was ecstatic when I saw this hand written note and the extra addition added to my box. I don’t need to say much more about this piece as I think you’ve already got the hint as to how much I love it, its adorable and my new go to accessory.

Another great thing that I must share with you all are these knot hair ties. The blogging world seems to have gone crazy for them, for months I have been reading about how much of a godsend they are. I would’t go as far as revolutionary but I do love how gentle they are to your hair – made from soft elastic they do the same job as a hair band but without the harsh movement of ripping your hair out or leaving any kinks. Don’t let me forget how pretty they are. Gone are the days of a hair band round my wrist, hello to the soft ties that can now double up as a cute bracelet.

If you’ve read my previous blog post then you will know that I have just started my own hair accessories business: Trendy Bobs & Bows. So this next accessory was right up my street. My personal style is all about classic looks with added statements, whether that be a dash of coloured lippy, floral headband or a snazzy accessory. The simplicity of this hair grip is beautiful. It’s sparkle and shine will definitely make it stand out yet compliment my hair colouring perfectly.

Next are two items that you wouldn’t usually find in my accessories collection. Anklets and scrunchies. If you’ve seen any fashion/gossip magazine over the past year I am sure you would of seen a scrunchie somewhere spread across the pages. Some people can pull it off but I for one have never been drawn to them. My twelve year old self loved an anklet, once a year on our family holiday in the sun I would purchase some form of beaded souvenir and think I looked extremely cool. I can confirm that I was in fact wrong and they were never a good buy. Enough about my previous embarrassing fashion choices… you can now understand that I was a little disappointed to find both a scrunchie and an anklet in this months Luau Party box. Yes I can appreciate how pretty these are but unfortunately its just a shame that I won’t wear them. One great thing about Prairie Charms is that they build up a customer profile, getting to know my likes and dislikes and what to include in any future boxes. Who knows I may have a change of heart and suddenly become a anklet and scrunchie fan- then of course these would be my first point of call.

Prairie Charms don’t just include accessories in there amazing box of goodies, I also received some Luau themed food, drinks and other fun products. Imagine an american beach party; floral lei’s, red cups, standing round the camp fire… what else do you need? S’mores and Kool-Aid of course. Both of these iconic American things aren’t really that accessible in the UK but now thanks to Prairie Charms I can try them.

Adding to the fun factor I received a confetti kit from Sweet As Honey. Inside was a balloon and lots of brightly coloured confetti – in the words of the Sweet As Honey team they encourage you to make a mess. Such a cute little extra and something completely different. I can’t say that I would spend £3.95 on it myself but love the fact its unique and would make a special occasion memorable.

We all know I am OBSESSED with nail varnish. My compulsive collection of all things nail related is becoming uncontrollable but am please to say in this box of surprises I found a lovely packet of nail glitter. I cannot wait to use this and wouldn’t be surprised if as soon as I publish this post the glitter and polish will be out and ready to be applied.

Last but not least an amazing surprise…. a beautiful bespoke flower crown. It is a shame that this arrived just after the festival season had come to an end as this would of been perfect for a hot summers day at VFestival. The bright flowers are a great statement and will certainly make you stand out from the crowd. I now need to buy music festival tickets to give me an excuse to wear this fun crown – hurry up summer! After looking through Twitter and seeing what personalised products other bloggers were getting in this months box I have to say I am extremely jealous of the dusky pink rose lei that JinksyBeauty received. Take a look at her blog post and tell me which floral crown you prefer.

If you hadn’t already guessed I am EXTREMELY impressed with the products I received and the high level of customer service Prairie Charms have. Having previously worked in customer service and retail management I understand and appreciate the importance and dedication it takes to give great customer service. I would have to say that the team at Prairie Charms have some of the best service I have ever received. With my items in the box calculating to a total of over £126.00 I couldn’t be more happy and recommend this company highly enough. Why don’t you get in touch with them and get yourself a subscription for a one off fee to receive one of these amazing boxes – remember that they are customised to your taste, you get incredible unique products which you will not find on the high street and they are amazing value for money.

Yes I have signed up for the next two boxes and the wait is already killing me.
Anyone know how to make time go faster?
